Rental Application Letter Checklist ✅️
Before you hit send on your application, run through this checklist to make sure you've included all the key details landlords in Germany expect to see. It only takes a minute and can make a big difference.
Personal Details🧍
Full name, age, and title (if applicable). This helps the landlord understand who you are at a glance.
Job & Income 💼
State your job title, employer, contract type (permanent or not), and net monthly income. Stability and ability to pay rent are top priorities for landlords.
Residency Status 🛂
Mention if you're an EU citizen, have a Blue Card, or another long-term visa. Reassures the landlord you can legally stay and rent long-term.
Move-in Information 📅
Clearly state when you're available to move in. Flexibility can be a plus.
Household Details 👥
Specify if you're applying alone or with others. Include partner's or children's ages if relevant.
Personal Touch 😊
Mention 1 to 2 hobbies or lifestyle habits. This helps landlords see you as more than just an applicant.
Contact & Availability 📞
Include your phone number and email. Mention when you're available for viewings and whether you're already in Germany.
Optional Extras 📝
Highly recommended: add an extra touch by displaying you would be a ideal tenant.
